Visual: The final court hearing in Pakistan. The courtroom is packed. Media from both India and Pakistan broadcast live. Zaara, dressed in simple white, walks in. She sees Veer for the first time in 22 years – old, broken, but his eyes still soft.

Visual: Veer and Zaara walk out of the prison into the bright sunshine. The India-Pakistan border gate – Wagah – opens for them. On one side, Veer’s old family waits. On the other, Zaara’s village children throw flower petals.
Samiya confronts Zaara.

Visual: Veer reaches the bus stop where Zaara is supposed to meet him one last time. Instead, he sees her family’s car crash. He saves her father’s life. But a mob mistakes him for an Indian spy. How will I reach the river now
