Ishaan's life spirals when he is sent to a strict boarding school, , in Panchgani after being caught skipping school. The family believes a "disciplined" environment will fix him. Ishaan becomes deeply withdrawn, loses interest in art, stops talking to his parents (who rarely visit), and feels utterly abandoned. He begins to believe he is a failure.

The story introduces (played by Darsheel Safary), an 8-year-old boy with a wild, artistic imagination. He sees the world differently: letters and numbers seem to dance and wiggle on the page, while colors, animals, and fish come alive in his sketchbook.
