The chicken looped around the hook. Steven pulled. The Anchor swung upward, arcing perfectly, and landed with a soft click into its slot beside the Lunar Tide Pearl.
Steven looked up. The clone of Garnet had reformed and was advancing on Pearl. The real Garnet was busy holding the tower together. There was no time to climb back up.
The battle was chaos. Amethyst’s clone whipped her with a watery whip. Pearl’s clone parried every strike. Garnet’s clone punched so hard the tower shook. In the confusion, the Moonstone Anchor slipped from Pearl’s hands and bounced down the stairs.
