She begins “The Fisherman and the Ifrit.” As she speaks, we dissolve into the tale—vibrant blue sea, a poor fisherman, a brass bottle. The Ifrit (played by same actor as Shahryar) swears to kill the man who freed him. The fisherman replies: “Your story is not my sentence.”
