Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) is now a successful stay-at-home dad and part-time nursing instructor. He and Pam (Teri Polo) have two kids: a sarcastic 12-year-old daughter, Sophie, and a 9-year-old son, Henry, who eerily shares Jack’s suspicion of everyone.

Enter (new character, played by someone like Aubrey Plaza)—Greg’s estranged, chaotic younger sister. She’s an artist who faked her own death five years ago to avoid student loans. Now she’s back, claiming she wants to “reconnect.” Jack is thrilled because Nina’s obvious lies make Greg look even guiltier by comparison.

Greg, sweating through his rental tux, says: “I once lied about having a PhD in nursing to impress you, Jack.”

Then Greg adds: “And I secretly bought a timeshare in Florida without telling Pam.” Greg: “Don’t tell Pam, but… you’re terrifying

Kevin (Owen Wilson) floats by on a paddleboard, shirtless, holding a smoothie. “Hey, Greg. Nice wristlet.” Greg screams.

The family is driving to the Byrnes’ newly renovated “lake compound” for Jack and Dina’s 40th-anniversary vow renewal. Pam is optimistic. Greg is sweating.

Greg’s wristlet immediately goes off when he says he’s “excited to be there.”
