Portable Windows 7 - Matlab

A portable MATLAB on Windows 7 is technically possible but fragile. For real portability, use a network license and the batch launcher method. For critical work, upgrade the OS or use MATLAB Online.

Windows 7 reached End of Life (EOL) in January 2020. MATLAB releases from R2016b and earlier are the last versions to officially support Windows 7 without modifications. Later versions (R2017a+) may have compatibility issues or require specific updates (KB patches, VC++ runtimes). 1. What is "MATLAB Portable"?
