As a fan of the anime, this live-action adaptation is… okay. It tries to condense too much story into 2 hours, so character development suffers. Edward and Alphonse look decent visually, and the CGI for Al is impressive for a Japanese budget. However, the pacing is rushed, and some emotional beats fall flat. If you’ve never seen FMA, you’ll be confused. If you have, you’ll be mildly entertained but disappointed.
