Her roommate, Leo, glanced up from his gaming chair. “Just put it on my charging pad,” he said, nodding toward a sleek white disc on the nightstand.
It was 11:47 PM. Rain hammered against the window as Anya frantically patted down her sofa cushions for the third time. Her Huawei Nova 7 SE was at 3% battery, and she had an early flight to catch.
She adjusted it. Moved it an inch left. Then right.
“Fast wired charging is useless,” she sighed, “if you can’t find the wire.”
Leo leaned over, squinted, then snorted. “Dude. Your phone doesn’t have wireless charging.”
